if this sounds stupid it came to me in a dream
right well i was thinking why not set up a compertition (like the photography comp) but charge a small fee to enter like £1 and then donate the money to a charity or auction off snails
what do you think?

Who would it be in support of though? I don't think it's a good idea to auction pets in aid of charity, sorry. But the foods/equipment and stuff, yes.

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

Well what about the society. There's loads of ideas on there at the moment but we can't do any of them because we have no money. I think if people are serious about the society it should be a registered charity. We could do far more in the way of research, advertisement and what-not if we had money. Or it could go to the upkeep of the petsnails website. I think it would be a nice idea if one day there was a snail shelter run by the society. It would be a great opportunity for research and we could run a shop to raise further funds from it, aswell as being a rescue home for the many unwanted fulica.
