Great pics Kevin - the Limax maximum ones have come out really well.
What are the ruined buildings in the last few pics - they look at lot like the old colliery buildings we have locally to me in the Forest of Dean. I really enjoy exploring these and the old railways which linked them all.

I really enjoy exploring these and the old railways which linked them all. Thanks The 7th from bottom is the ruins of Rockwood colliery, and the last pic of of the old Barry line viaduct.

Thanks Kevin - think in another life I would have been an industrial archaeologist! There is a lot of literature on the collieries in the Forest of Dean - its amazing comparing the landscape when they were in operation to what it is now and figuring out which ruined bit was which part of the photographs of the collieries when they were working.

Very,very nice pictures! ~That place must be wonderfull!! Which birds of prey are those that you pictured? Busards ( Buteo buteo)? I almost can imagine the crows singing on that kind of lanscapes and the owl at night making noises UhhhUUU lool. Tales land!

Thanks yeah, two of the 3 birds in the pictures are Buzzards, Buteo buteo, in the first Buzzard picture the other bird above the Buzzard is a Crow.

Oh that's awful. I looked through the pics and thought really wonderful wildlife areas you got there. Sad to hear yet another sanctuary is only a memory.
