and slugs.....
I wrote a similar thread before asking the regulations of importing/exporting snails and discovered its legal to send snails across the EU...
But what If I wanted them from a single person from outside the EU...say South America and such...What permits/licenses would I need, and anyone know how I would go about getting them?

u could jump on a plane LOL Is there anyone from outside the EU? if so, please tell us would u did! Im sure theres plenty of people from outside the EU that could legally send snails if I had the right permits, the ones in Barbados maybe?, I recently learned that theres going to be Thailand snails available soon as well (wonder what species?) Im thinking it may be easier to find and have the snails sent directly to me, maybe if I had to buy more and offer the surplus ones to people on here and cybersnail? I recently enquired about a South American dealer who had large native snails to offer, but said he couldnt ship to UK unless I had the right authority or something?

I feel the need to bump this thread a bit ;D ... so...anyone know if I could get any permits, licenses etc..Which would make importing non-threatened, endangered etc snails and slugs legal?
I'd like to be able to get some south american snails in particular

It can be done but you'll need health certificates and possible an import licence. Have a look on DEFRA and CEFAS websites. In fact, phone them. I did this for EU information and it took some tracking down but I got there in the end. Except for customs

To import Snails in the USA is always forbade. What is legal? Also with zertificat one may import no African Snails because of belastung for the nature in the USA. So only the duty-free veersand to 1 kg remains goes and the contents a sound letter more than 20 euros may not be. The same one counts to the Arabian emirates an one and exportation of living Snails is forbade. If one snails well packed in the letter small parcel to 1 kg sends one has none probleme. I dispatch regularly in all lands also oversea..
@ Judimoody Imaculata can you become from me if Interesting
