Coir bricks expand with water and are measured in litres. 10-12 is common.
So...
1 ml = 1 cubic centimetre.
therefore....
12 litres is 12000 cubic centimetres
That means 1 x coir brick (12 litre) will fill a:
2 x 1 foot tank to a depth of roughly 6 cm. 3 x 1 foot tank to a depth of roughly 4 cm.
In my experience, this isn't quite true, I'd say they are really 9-10 litres meaning a depth of roughly 5 cm and 3 cm respectively.
