im also getting a immaculata panthera soon and yes i read the big thread about not keeping them with any other speices.
anyways, what i wnated ot know was the basic information about sp's, what does sp stand for, what size do they grow to, any dietary specifics..ect.

sp' stands for "species" its used when the full name of the snail is unknown, but the genus is known, i.e. Achatina sp, Archachatina sp etc.. do you have any pictures of your snail? i would think your snail may be a Achatina fulica, but im sure someone could identify it from a picture.

hi, im the person that originally posted this, i thought i was logged in but alas i wasnt, erm, ill try and post some pictures of him up tonight, its a mottled coloured shell... with length ways strips of brown colours, and running all the way along the shell is a consistent line of dark brown dots. the flesh is a pale coffee colour but has a very dark brown strip on the top of the flesh. head is alos dark brown. does that help at all?
P.S i also jus nread the sticky on keeping snails in groups and i want to get him a freind( of the same species).

It looks like it's only a baby, and baby fulicas have spots and stripes, so it probably is one
