What happened?
Aloe vera is a known host plant for Achatina fulica, though mine have never eaten any. In theory it should be anything but harmful, though it has a laxative affect on humans and that may or may not be true of gastropods.

I offered my aspersa some aloe vera from my garden (no pesticides, fertilizers or chemicals at all), and she recoiled from it violently.
