ok as mentioned before - i have 2 fulicia & 40 ish garden snails 6 of the GS's are now quite BIG & i think that the Little ones are struggling (they aint getting any bigger) SO i was wondering if i can put the 6 BIG GS in with the 2 GALS - i have had the GS a couple month now will the GALS hurt/kill the GS OR could the wild caught GS harm the GALS i dont have the space to put them in another tank as i now have 3 tanks as it is THANKS

I don't think the snails will hurt each other, but the garden snails need it cooler than the GALS. It will be too warm for the garden snails in the GALS tank, and too cold for the GALS in the garden snails tank. Because of their differing habitat/temperature requirements, they really ought to be kept separately.

I agree with coyote! And....: the achatina need much more humidity in the tank than the garden snails, so please keep them apart.

i doubt they'd hurt eachover, but there are 2 problems with keeping them together, first mites, GALS and GS' tend to get slighty different mite species, so that means that if they got the other it would be worse than their own. Also acidental crawl overs, once i saw a baby GALS get crawled over by an adult who then stuck himself on the wall with the baby trapped in the folds of his body. The poor thing was tramatised and it was lucky i was staying with my mate that night as she was out for 5 hours that hight, the poor thing would have suffocated. Anyway essay over, hope they are ok.

well i have added up i now have 8 HUGE (by comparison) GS & about 18 little ones (either i have miscounted OR i have some MORE roaming free in my front room (found a tiny one yesterday i have NO idea how long it has been "free" but i popped it on some cucumber (thinking food & water in one source) & it seems ok now but im SURE there should be 40 of them (eek) im going to have to do SOMETHING as they bigger ones just "trample" the little ones - not that they seem bothered - THANKS all
