It does look like a margie but then the snail in the tank on the left hand side seems to have a pointy shell...

That snail looks like it hasnt had any cuttlebone. i see there is some in the tank, but sometimes the whiteness on the shell meens he dosent have enough calcium.

I wonder if its just a bad pic of a fulica.
the colour and texture of the snail's body is very "fulicaish" also the snail in the tank certainly appears to be a fulica. It maybe that the end of the snail's shell isnt visable in the pic. also the shape of the 2 main visable whirls seem to be fulica like cuz they each part kinda bulbs out. (if u get what i mean) but the body colouring would definitely suggest to me its a fulica.
very good value for 60p thou!

Looking again at the picture, I now don't think the main snail is a margie. It's skin texture is too big. I think it is just the angle of the picture that makes it look like it's got a bulky, ventricose shell. As for the shell whiteness, I don't think that is lack of calcium. It just looks worn to me, especially since it is on the lower half of the shell. Or perhaps other snails have had a rasp or two.
