Yup that sounds like substrate stains. Mine had that one the other moss I used.

oh and one of my batches took just over 4 weeks, give them 5 or 6 then crack one open if you feel Wouldn't it be better to candle them? If I candled them now at 4 weeks, would I be able to see anything? *runs and gets the torch* Val

Well I can see -something- in mine and they're not even 3 weeks old yet, so I would think you should be able to see something I can see a pin prick size hole in two of them and then in those two and another one there's patches that I can only see in front of the light. (I can also only see the pin prick holes when they're in front of the light)

I candled 2 of them............I can't see anything anyway I have tucked them back in the moss and shall carry on hoping!!! Val
