I think some people have fed their snails the yolk and/or white of an egg before not just the shell. (Don't take my word for it though lol) So might be ok? LOL Not much help am I?
Hopefully someone smarter will reply soon.. I'm always keen on trying different foods with them.
(In all honesty I'm fed up of getting evils from one of the dogs when I cut salad up (cucumber especially) and don't give any to her!! Rofl)

That'll teach you not to speed read Sarah! *lol*
As for dogs pining for food, Sky wouldn't touch salad (unless I stuck fluff on it and made it move quickly but I think even she might work it out), but does this poor me act when she's in the kitchen and folks are here, she lies on the rug and makes out it's her bed, and does these "see what they make me sleep on" eyes at people, until they give her treats...

Rofl. Sheba got ill as a puppy and the only thing she would eat lots of was cucumber. She's been hooked ever since. And she now likes apple as much as cucumber, so I get double evils Thanks for misreading anyway Sarah, you reminded me about the frenzied hemp I bought lol. Still haven't tried it! Grrr there I go again spamming off topic. Rofl. You can shoot me if you want to Lisa

Hubby found me some hemp seeds in Jollye's, they sell it loose, and he got some to try and it only cost 48p *lol*
Hang on, now I'm off topic. See what you've done? Grrr....*lol*

I occasionally give my snails hard boiled egg yolk. They will most likely find crushed eggs in the nature, but it's not good to offer them raw eggs, that's why I only use the boiled yolk.

Thanks Fredrik - this food is dry, you add water to it - I usually mix it with hot water (or sometimes for my rats I add Lactol, which is puppy and kitten formula milk, too). Sometimes some kale as well. Hang on, this is a snail site - sorry went a bit off track there!
Yes anyway, it's a dried food, so I'm assuming it's pasteurised dried egg, I wish I still had the bag handy but this one has lasted ages, so it's long since gone in the bin.
I did notice that on one of the links I found (dunno if I posted this one) it said you could also get it hemp free - so the regular stuff has hemp in, and now seeing the hemp seed my hubby picked up today, it is definitely the same as one of the seeds in the EMP.
Sarah - you must speed read like me then, because I think I covered all the bases when it came to what EMP was (and the fact it was in capitals *lol*). Wasn't being arsey - just laughing at a fellow wrong-end-of-the-stick person! ;D
