While in the local pet shop, I found a bag of pellets that said they were for box turtles. Turtles have shells, so I thought maybe there was good stuff in it for snails too. i checked the ingredients, and sure enough, it contains traces of calcium. I bought it, took it home, and then put a few of the pellets in a dish and sprinkled with warm water till they softened. the resut? The margies inhaled it, the tigers nibled, decided it was nice, and ate quite a lot. the fulica were not too excited, ate about as much of it as they do anything else. It containes protein, so will use it like a treat as i do hemp seeds. but thought i would share the results here.

I guess I was lucky, they were a big bag of exoterra brand for about £3.00.
