I've done a search and can't find anything about it, so I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for their own snail mix? I've been thinking about making a snail mix, possibly based around the instant oats I feed them (as it has added calcium), with extras in. Any tips?

15% Oyster Shell/Cuttlefish Powder 40% Hemp 15% Oats 10% Chicken Mash 10% Sunflower Kernels 10% Pumpkin Seed

Just an update - this snail mix Sherman won (I assume the same recipe as above) has really boosted our lot. The first time I put it down, only Keith liked it and the others looked as if to say "What the bl**dy hell is this?". It's worth persevering as the 2nd time it went down they all got stuck in. Now they all go absolutely crackers for it.
Along with the calcium spray, it's had fantastic effect on their growth and general wellness. All, even Keith, have new growth, and those that were slowing down in growth have really picked up.
Can't recommend it more ;D

I don't think it would be bad for them but I once added some powdered milk to the mix (because of the added vitamins) and they wouldn't eat it, or rather they didn't eat as much. But, if yours like it I don't see a problem.

What weigh have you ordered the things in? If its by the Kilo its dead easy - 40% = 400Grams etc
Hope that helps.
Any Particular baby milk powder?

250g Hemp how much 40% for that? See I am hopeless math lol. As chicken mash I got is one kilo and sunflower kernels 500g pumpkin seed 250g. Only problem for me work out is 40% to 250g and 15% to 250g on cuttlefish powder and 500g to 15% oats.

Its okay now as I had to ask my daughter to work out 40% of 250g and also 15% of 250g on both. So I have written down list of weights for snail mix for future reference. Thanks for help Tigs.

Ta Teresa - Im sure i have seen an SMA freebie somewhere on the Net.
Crafty - Just had a thought. Its the end weight you need the percentage of. Thus if you want to use all the Hemp it would be -
650g Smail mix =
250g Hemp 100g Cuttle 100g Oats 65g each of rest
Tigs
Now its a questiion from me. Has anyone got any ideas for dehydrating mushrooms to add to the mix?

Thanks Tigs,
About dehydrating mushrooms as I do have it as I just add teaspoon every time I add water to snail mix as they loves it. Also with chicken mash as well.
