Well I'll get nagging and organsing even if I don't end up the editor, it needs to be done. If I do, what format has it got to be done in About the only program I have is MS works, which has quite alot of options in it. pdf confuses the hell out of me lol.

The format is irrelavant at this stage, personally I'd use a text editor like wordpad or notepad. There's no design needs doing yet so really you'd just be brainstorming etc. and keeping notes of who's doing what, what the first issue may contain etc. The final format needs to be extensible so it can be worked on by us all, so leave that bit for. The less fancy the better.
Also, you don't want to use Works if possible, it is scarcely used and almost impossible to convert documents from and to. You can't even import a lot of works documents in office!!!

Well, openoffice can export to pdf but again at this stage it is unnecessary, I'd suggest we leave any formatting/design until last. Try and use text wherever possible, otherwise all your fancy formatting will have to be undone. Then the people who do the finished thing, will have the best raw materials to work with, and there will be less limitations or complications.
