Don't you find them ultra-slimey when you handle them? Yeah...not as slimy as native Leopards and Arion sp though, nearly all of they're slime is removed with kitchen roll

and at least you don't get the orange stains! Have you noticed that Limax species eat their own slime trails, as well as those of the prey slugs that they follow?

No I havent noticed that, I have some leopard and ashy grey slugs (one is tiny though) I havent fed them other slugs, just cucumber, bread etc...Do you think they'd need to eat other slugs?

Don't know really. They feed on fungi in the wild, along with the usual stuff, and other slugs. So perhaps a high protein diet? They often come and clean out my dogs food bowl, (she eats outside), although its very meagre pickings in there!)
