fungus and moses i think, Do you think they might eat mouldy foods? not moses Being treesnails it would only be logical that they would eat moss and lichen.

Curious.
Honestly, who had these originally, how many, and how many remaining? And how well are the remaining ones doing?
I know its a new species in culture, just wondering how people are doing with them.
I had 2, lost one 1 week after recieval. The other appears to be doing very well.

My 2 are still alive, but the smaller one is very inactive and not eating much (at least he is never moving around when I am up - but moves as he is sticking to another place in the morning ). The bigger one is very active, day and night and not shy anymore he is too coming out on my hands now somethimes and he is eating and pooing like crazy from all and everything I offer to him and he is always sliming near the smaller one, but that never comes out to meet him... Copigeon, have you seen, that apple can get some more lignus? Maybe you can buy one ore 2 new partner for your single one?

I don't think they use anything in particular just something for them to climb on, being tree snails and all.

Read the whole thread thewizard, you'll see what people have managed to get them to eat, with some success.
Theyre still quite hit and miss it seems, some people have done better than others with them. Ive finally managed to stabilize my remaining one, but I'd be prepared to lose some of whatever you buy.

The first two eggs have hatched, (Nov. 7th). They were laid in transit from Africa, sometime between the 3rd and 6th of October. They have been incubated at 25C, in a moss peat/vermiculite mixture, which has been kept moist, with no free water. Now it's a matter of feeding them! It's bad news I'm afraid, all of the baby Lignus have died I just couldn't get them to eat anything, and they just faded away. In total there were 29 babies. I'm gutted

I still have my 2 and they are quite active at night but don't budge during the day. The eat LOADS of cucumber and tend to just graze on other things, but enough to give them a balanced diet. What I do have in the tank are pieces of bark with moss, lichen and some ferns on them and I can say they have been eating these so I replace them periodically. With the winter coming they may need to go on the cucumber diet for a while until everything starts growning again in the spring Brian ;D
