This morning I found some eggs in my small snail tank, 2 batches - probably about 20 eggs in each. They are absolutely huge at 6mm each. That is impressive for snails less than 5cm in size.
There are only 2 species in there they could be from, Helix pomatia and Helix lucorum. I've read on a few sites that pomatia eggs are only 2mm in size and I can't find any info for lucorum. So I'm wondering, from those of you who have had pomatia eggs (coz I assume no-one has had lucorum eggs yet), what size are they?

Ignore that, I've just found 6mm mentioned on Mike's website so they must be pomatia eggs. Finally, they've laid!!
I've been waiting because I'm gonna start a little colony in my back yard.

anyway paul could i possibly have one or two in the spring please? Sure, I just hope they all hatch. I have 5 Helix pomatia so I think 2 have laid, hopefully the other 3 will lay also, maybe even another clutch all round. I hope so because I'm intending to hatch as many as they lay. I also really like this species ;D
