Right. I'm going to start growth charts for all my snails, length and weight, probably at weekly intervals to start with as their youngsters. Paul any idea roughly how old the dimidiata and tigers I got from you are? Only rough guess Mike if you read this, what about the iredalei? I will post a pic with measurements of fulica for you to help me age those. Its only so that later on I can look at dates and say they are xxx old and weigh xxxg and are xxcm etc etc Now, are we sure its safe to use a blob of nail varnish on them? I want to be able to identify who is who, if so, I'm guessing the tip of the shell is safest cos its the hardest so won't be absorbed Thank you ;D Nat

The tigers were born around the 10th of May and the dimidiata about the 3rd of May.

It'd hard to imagine they can grow some fast. Just take a look at the pictures of them at about 20 days old... ...and compare that to now. For purposes of your records, they were about 4-5mm when first born and reached an average of 9-10mm at 20 days.

Im going to start doing this for my baby tigers. Seems like a good way of checking that they are growing properly. Maybe others with tiger babies should also do this. Then we will have a way of knowing how we are doing raising our babies. Im always worrying about mine. if they are growing enough etc, so i would be interested to compare with others.. then i would know im doing the right thing!

tiger measurements:
tiger 1.. he is my biggest and i measured him when he first arrived. he measured 14mm. now he measures 19mm
tiger 2: length: 18mm
tiger 3: length: 17.5mm
tiger 4: 18mm
tiger 5: 15.5mm (he is my little runt!)
so considering they were all under 14mm when i got them about 10days ago.. things are not going too badly!
