i got this really good cuttlefish a few weeks ago it was like 2.5 inches thick and the babies liked it but now its gone really wierd and flakes off in bits and they dont eat it anymore. so does cuttlefish go 'old' after a while and snails dont like it? mine are so fussy with cuttlefish.
does anyone know where i can get it really cheaply?

Cuttlefish does go a bit manky when it gets wet. I rotate the pieces, and dry it out. It's miles better but is more brittle. I also get mine from Wilko's 22p isn't bad at all. I've been trying to get powdered oyster shell. Half the cost and better for them (according to that article about margies and growth), but all I can find is crushed oyster shell which is way too sharp and hard for them to eat. And it is almost impossible to powder.
