I haven't seen him eat yet. I keep putting different food in every day and sitting him on it or near it but I haven't seen him touch any of it Oooooh I just realised why you might have thought that lol sorry. The mash on it is from the bowl not from the slimey thing. I put it on the bowl when I removed it, so some of the mash went onto it. And he was sat on the mash when that bit must have come out. So it stuck then too. Maybe it's their way of getting "bad" bits out of them like the weird poo is?

Its probably pooh, which means he must be eating. STOP picking him up, lol!!!! Honestly Sian, open the tank once a day to shove some food in and spray it, its hard but its the only thing you can do. He is so terrified still. Nat

It could just be a stringy piece of faeces. While he hasn't been eating his digestive system has still being running so it may just be a mild case of diarrhea.
Have you tried cereal crops? My margies love ground sunflower seeds. You could try hemp, porridge and chicken mash.

Haven't tried cereal crops no, and don't have any of that list in. But I will see what I can get. Is there anything else that might help?
I've tried giving him: Cucumber, Mash, Lettuce, Grape, Strawberry, Mushroom, dog biscuit, a tiny amount of fish flake, beer, sweetcorn and uh.. I think that's it lol. The only porridge type thing we have is a syrup flavour oats so simple thing, don't know if that's any good 'cause of the syrup?
I might be able to get to a garden center on Friday, so I'll look there for the chicken mash. I'm also going to buy a few plants to grow for the snails to eat lol. I've got the list of what's safe, written down ;D Are there any plants I could get that might perk him up a bit?

I must have pigged it Oops lol Have never had this problem before poor old BA lol. My others eat whatever I give them. I know he's been through a lot though, I'm just trying to try everything I can in the hope something will make him feel a bit better. And also in the hope it'll get rid of all this.. gross stuff lol.
