Gary - he's of unknown age, but been with us since September, and is about 4cm. Sally, again unknown age, Gary's littermate. She's about 2cm. Both of them are immaculata var. dimidiata. That's a 1p coin in the pics btw. I may have better pics somewhere, but they're more geared at getting the "aww" factor, rather than science *lol* I'll see what I can dig out.

this is a nice way of collecting information ;D..sorry i didnt notice this board before its not in the 'past 3 days' search thingy not sure of the age...a few months probably size...about 5-6cm location...captive bred in italy subspecies....oh this is a REAL immaculata not a two-tone one. mike

Age - unknown Size - 10cm Egg of the above compared to fulica egg New born of the above compared to few day old fulica (rice grain for scale) Few days old 10th Feb 2006 uk 11 days old (almost 1cm) 11 days (almost 1cm) I have more pictures of the babies if you want anymore, not sure which to use or if they are clear enough/ show what you want etc. I plan to take more with the ruler as they grow. Leave them where they are for now, it's not worth moving them. I was looking for particular pictures for the info pages. I'm gonna write a picture add facility and then I'll get people like yourself perhaps to put the rest of them online for me. It's not that simple since they need a credit and links etc, so it really needs a tool to do it, instead of manually messing about.
