Hi Val,
thanks for the friendly comment! I am afraid I didn't remove any snails from the habitat, so I cannot give any to you.
But amber snails should also be found on the British Isles, especially in the South.

aww those snails are soooooooo cute and beautiful
val you can find succinea putris like on riverbanks on reeds places like that.
but i dont think that picture is succinea putris it looks too dark

Hi there,
which is why I wrote putris with a question mark. We also didn't know exactly what it was. A German scientist told me, it was Oxyloma elegans, a Belgian told me it was Succinea putris, and a Dutch scientist told me it was neither of both, but it was to be determined, possibly even a new species...
By the way: One animal on the page is not a snail, I hope you find out, which...! ;D

Oh lovely pictures! U have good camera ;-D I really love all the pictures, they're so... realistic. Almost like I have some Helix pomatia (or Succinea putris... or.. or...) myself!
