Well, no entries yet so far lol. I was just going to say, that last time we did the Snail Art Competition, we struggled to get many entries. For this comp. to go on, we really do need as many people to participate as possible. I can understand that it takes time to complete entries. It would be helpful if I can just have a "show of hands" on who is planning on entering. It would be nice to see more people entering this time. Of course, you do not need to be an "artist" to enter. Everyone has an equal chance of winning. Of course, it's all about having fun, to enjoy this competition. Thanks, Sonic

I had a beautiful drawing to enter...but...it kinda got ruined...and never finished. I could try to pull something together, I adore art...I guess ive been distracted with my move and all the baby critters and Bo and all. I'll try ok? Dang...if only I was already in Scotland, I would be so happy and relaxed I could create something amazing.

Yeah, I understand that not everyone has the time. It just would have been nice if people made an effort, as like the last snail art competition. That one was good, people actualy entered.

Sigh..
Well, looks like this hasn't been so much of a success. Oh well... I hope next time the Snail Art Copetition runs that there's going to be some entries. Otherwise, I can't see the point in doing it any longer.

Otherwise, I can't see the point in doing it any longer. Please don't end the art competition!...who knows, in time more artistic members could join. I know in the future I will want to enter, especially when I actually have snails in my care to inspire artwork.

Maybe you can have it every 2 months or so,since a drawing or painting takes a longer time to make than a photo.(And yes I know 1 month seems long enough ,but you know us artists )

I personaly think two months is brilliant. Darn us artists, we need to be [glow=green,2,300]inspired[/glow] first. THEN we need to choose our media, THEN get supplies, THEN sit on out bottoms and get [glow=green,2,300]inspired[/glow] again. Then work work work until it's JUUUST right, THEN we mess it up and do it all over again until it's right, THEN...we realize we missed the deadline. Ahhh...the life of an artist. Seriously though, sense it takes longer to make art vs. snapping pictures, I think an extended deadlines is a fab idea. The trick is making sure everyone doesen't forget, however, it gives more time for more entries. Way to go Arno! Like I said, when I move to Scotland i'll have LOADS of time on my hands to do all sorts of neat snail art. Especially having my wee snails FINALLY to inspire me! ;D

Yeah, I can understand that not everyone has the time to produce such pieces of art. I myself know exactly that. I've just spent about 150 hours on one painting. So, yes maybe every two months would be best. We will see how it goes from there.

There's no immediate plans to start the snail art comps again, but the photo comps are up and running again - there's one currently in the voting stage, dont forget to get your votes in folks!
