The illness of doom. Ive read several threads about this doomish thing. But now im wondering. is there no recovery for it? Ive read several symptons. Swollen body. Partially retracted. spilling liquid. having trouble lifting its shell. swollen tentacles These currently all fit on my snail i just cant see if the mantle is collapsed or not

There is so much we don't know about snails. From what I've read, mantle collapse is not survivable. I don't think anyone really knows what causes it, and there isn't any standard treatment for it other than to keep the snail as comfortable as possible and not allowing it to climb up anything.
Are there any pics you can post here of your snail? It might be something other than mantle collapse.

it can be recovered from, if the snail can be got to eat and was strong before. very young /. old snails have more difficulty. unfortunately it is rarely recovered from, as most know i lost Rosalind to this recently with no apparent cause.
