I hope the seller is not Koffie? Check my thread on the retailers and review forum. www.petsnails.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=retail&action=display&n=1&thread=4546If so, stay right clear from him although a few members have bought from him in the past. To me, he has packs of lies and excuses. Apple has helped me a lot to contact him (as he dealed with Koffie in the past) but Koffie told Apple I am impatient. I don't know how much time I have to give him, but I have waited for 3 months. I heard a few members have problems with him too after I put that thread up. Members in the German pet snails site have been waiting since August last year and still no snails. So judge that yourself. I would stay right clear from any of them, and I'd rather wait or ot having any, But then I am not obsessed to have all kind of species of snails in this world. edit: If you check the thread on BN, there are threads with similar cases too. STAY AWAY imo.

what country is he in? i doubt he has Achatina craveni, they are found in South Africa, he may have Limi's and Helix aspersa, but i'd be suprised if he knows what species he has. He probably has fulica, tigers and margies. Usually an African dealer will see someones list of snails on the petsnails contacts, and email them telling them they have all the species their currently searching for (even Megalobulimus, which are South American)
You shouldnt send any money in advance to them, even for shipping, only send payment when the snails are with you, and agree not to pay for snails that arrive dead, with a picture as proof. If they dont agree to those terms their probably a scammer.

I would guess either Tanzania or Nigeria, that would help narrow down what snails he has. Thats good that he doesnt expect any payment upfront, he probably is genuine then, I would doubt he has the snails he says though.

hes from cameroon kevin does that narrow it down any He would be able to collect fulica, tiger snails, margies, possibly some rarer marginata variants (like egregia/egregiella) and some other species, including Limicolaria. He wouldnt be able to collect Achatina craveni though, if he can identify snails maybe small tigers would be misidentified as those. Has he sent pictures of adult snails? I should be receiving some species from Cameroon fairly soon, and hopefully have some available not long after.
