Hey, I've had my fulica for just over a year now, and he was a baby when we got him, however he seems pretty small for a year old. His shell is only around 2 inches long, and he only weighs around 30 grams. He has been steadily growing and putting on weight since we got him - but slowly. He did have a case of mites when he was younger, although they're long gone now and we haven't had any more since. The tank is always around 24C and I spray every day/every other day, and provide a variety of food. There's plenty of cuttlefish and I use liquid calcium too. Should I be worried? Will he continue to grow? Is it possible that he's a runt, or could his growth have been affected by mites? Thanks for any help

I also have a fulica who is about 1 yearb old. he has been 2" ever since i got him and not grown at all. It is possable that your snail is just a slow grower. Different snails have different growth rates. xxx

Thanks for the help - I don't mind him being small, aslong as he's healthy and happy

Each and every snail is different - I have some that are double the size of their sibling from the same batch of eggs....
Suddenly they'll have a growth spurt and you'll not remember how tiny they were!!!
