Hi @ll, I have got some nice new banded snail pictures for you. The first is a grove snail ( Cepaea nemoralis) and a garden banded snail ( Cepaea hortensis, in the foreground) in comparison. Picture: Robert NordsieckThe second one, which I like particularly much shows three unicoloured Cepaea nemoralis of three different colours, one after the other. I call this one "The hunt of colours". Picture: Robert NordsieckHope you like them, Kind regards, Robert

These snails are gorgeous. Did you find them this way or did you breed them specifically? I'm going to make a try at breeding some really nice ones and just wondered if you had any tips.

Hi there,
actually my friend Mica from Berlin found them. They are hers. But she did find them as you see them, no breeding involved.
Kind regards Robert

Hm, those look like hatchlings, and hatchlings don't have their full coloration yet. Those resemble brown garden snail hatchlings, but other species could look similar as well. It's hard to say at this point.
