I just received 5 six month old fulica 3 days ago and they were fine when they arrived I bathed them and let them have some crawling time before I fed them and put them in their new home, when I went to bed I checked them all and they were all a bit retracted I upped the humidty a bit and spayed them and they all came out really quickly, since then 4 of them have been fine behaving the same as my other snails but 1 of them every time I look it's in it's shell.
I have read all the info on the problem section of the website and it said about retraction, I don't know how retrated is deep?
When it's in it's shell it's still got a little bit of him showing, have read causes and the others in the tank are all fine there are 8 other fulica the humidity is 80-85 % depending on the time of day, temperature is 27 degrees, He isn't making attempts to build a cover over his opening, and I checked them all thoroughly when they arrived for mites and shell damage ect.
Could it be stress of the journey they were packed like sardines in a plastic tub with moss and although the contailer wasnt 100% airtight no extra holes were made for air, they were sent next day delivery so were in there maximum of 24 hours. or could it be he doesn't like coir they were sent with moss that had no sign of soil on it or the snails, I kept the moss to try make them feel at home (after rinsing it)
Any thoughts although he has been eating I watched him and he does come out when you spray him a little
