Does anyone do anything special here in terms of enrichment? I love Brian's tank but sometimes i wonder if all the furniture is mostly for my benefit! He has some nice bog wood and trailing plants he likes to climb and deep soil to dig in and i try to change it all around sporadically; just wondered if anyone else had any ideas? ;D

I recently bought a tub of salad cress (the one that is planted in small plastic tub) and planted it in their tank, they were digging under it, eating a path through the cress and even sleeping in it, was well worth 24p (lol) will do again

i ahve debated this but not tried it sinc ei dont have a drill around here, but putting some holes in one of the propped up branches, ad into that stuffing edible leaves - however i'm worried about them climbing onto those leaves and since they are not attached to the branch them falling off - unless they were smallish bunches of leaves. I did debate making little cups in branches too and popping some wet fish flakes in there since they love them so much. but i think they are more an eat off the ground sort of snail, if i ever manage to find some Lignus intertinctus then i will try that The growing plants idea is great though!

Use the snail's natural wild habitat as a guide for how to decorate the tank. How many hidey-holes would they have, how many climby-places? Try to replicate that.
And it certainly doesn't hurt to put stuff there purely for our own benefit, as long as it isn't dangerous for the snails.

wow i never even thought of that! Thats a great idea! *runs to morrissons* I stroll round the veg isle in supermarket trying to find new things to try, the cress lasted 5 days before I binned it, also got some seed mix for them (hemp, pumpkin and sunflower) what they didn't eat has started sprouting though it doesn't get far before they eat the shoots

Picky snails...must be their female side ;D
