If you describe the conditions you're keeping them in, maybe we can see what changes they might like

Maybe it is to dry/wet, or to cold/warm in the tank? You really should get a thermometer and a hygrometer so you don't have to guess the temperature or humidity in the tank. There are different kinds of versions, I use Exo terras analog ones, and they arnt that expensive. Then there are digital verison that is a bit more pricey, and also the version that is like a sticker, that you put on the tankglass, but I dont really like those since it feels like those more measure the temperature of the glass.

Chadsworth could be sick or perhaps attracted some sort of parasite as hes the only one affected. My advice would be to perhaps quarantine him so that he wont be able to infect the others. It could also be that as the seasons now are changing so are the conditions in the tank. Chadsworth could possibly just be more sensitive to such a change than the others.

well hes really limp at the mo i read that its dehydration when they go all limp and things so hes currently sitting in a lil shallow water and hes out with his eye stalks out full strtench i hope hes having a drink he seems ok out the tank but doesnt move an inch in the tank i think i may have spotted alittle area where his flesh is detacted to his shell could it be that hes hurt himself so hes not feeling well?

If he is out of his shell but limp then it could indicate lack of oxygen. Not sure how that could happen outside of drowning...
If his mantel is not in tact the he could be getting dehydrated. Hopefully the water will help. I've had no experience of mantel problems, but I;d suggest putting him next to his food as moving the shell may be difficult and/or painful.
Here's hoping he makes it *hugs*

A lack of oxygen could happen if too much carbon dioxide collects in the bottom of the tank. If it's possible to drill ventilation holes near the bottom of the tank, try that. Also, try taking the top off and fanning in some fresh air a few times a day, to see how much of a difference that makes.

I'm so sorry for your loss, bloodhawk. Sometimes this happens no matter what we do for our snails.

Hey, i understand how hard this is for you.... the exact same thing happened to me, i lost 2 snails in 2 days ........... and the weird thing is, about a week before their death i found about 5 little tiny grub like things with a black tip and a black line down their back ...... it could be quite important for us to find out what these little things are ? Anyone got any info? xx

That's the first thing I thought of when I read your description. Do they resemble that?

Remember that it's really difficult to identify an insect species in its larval form... they all look so similar, especially the iddy bitty flies (totally a technical term).
Still, always good to look at all possibilities.
