hi all how do i measure my snails,is their body length or the size of the shell i measure,id like to put a couple of the smaller snails in the big snail tank but dont know what size they should be before i can safely put them in,thanks for any advice guys

It's easiest to measure snails from shell. Snails body will stretch very much or them never is fully stretched so that you could get reliable measurements from body.

Measure the shell; the size of the animal inside will be proportionate to how big the shell is, but the shell size will never change, whereas the snail's body will, depending on how retracted it is.
