Just joined wish I had some roman snails, but apparently it's illegal to take them out of the wild here because they're endangered

Hi there, I just found your page (after reading your post). My friend Mica also has Roman snails, as well as brown garden snails and banded snails. The two latter are much more active than the Roman snails, as you say. Only when they have recently been bathed or if there is oatmeal in water to eat, they "run" around. One suggestion: Usually the species name is written uncaptalised, so it is Helix pomatia and Cepaea nemoralis. Besides it is Cepaea nemoralis and not nemorlis. Kind regards Robert Roman snail page, Banded snail page.
