:Dwe are overrun with Ladybirds in our garden so i put one in my snails tank. Snails arn't fussed but the Ladybird gets Frustrated When snails slime on her so she sticks to the soil or to the snail (mind you i would too!) I heard that if they squirt their acid stuff it can harm snails but the snails arn't really touching it (they only slimed on her because they saw some cucumber and had a race to see which snail was the lucky one and they ran the poor thing over!) If i get mites in my tank will this Creature help me? My snails are ordinary Cepea Hortensis but i think i might have some Nemorlis too (their not adults yet so cant tell if young ones are hortensis)

I know they are not the same but your not supposed to keep millipeads in with snails because of the acid they squirt and i would think that it would be the same for lady bugs i dont know about the mites tho

By ladybird do you mean the beetle otherwise known as a ladybug? If so, I don't think a ladybug would be happy in a snail tank; they need to be out in the garden eating aphids and other garden pests.

I agree, a ladybird shouldn't be kept with the snails because it feeds on garden pests such as mites, aphids and scale insects, not veggies.

I think it's much better keep some bugs just in wild you can't know how often it needs to feed and what type of food and does it really like damp conditions all the time.. I think snails weigh, other moisture and slime don't do good for ladybirds exterior..
