Yep, definately a tiger. Where did you see that for sale Kev? Tom Halvorsen's site, he lists it has a "Acathina sp. Pink-lipped Giant Land Snails, XL " He is also selling whats down on the list as Tiger Snails, for sale amongst others.

I got a bit worried that it might be one of mine! I didn't save them for people to make a profit on LOL. And would you look at his prices LOL!
To say that these snails are like rocking horse poo is an understatement, you just don't see them for sale - specially not that size!! I wonder if he visited a certain London market hehe.
Anjie,x.

I wouldnt be worried that they were your ones...It looks like the sort of website that buys and sells in bulk...maybe he has around a 100 of these snails?...I wouldnt be suprised if they originated in a certain london market though

I'm guessing their albino-bodied margies...I'm getting some unidentified "Nigerian" pale-bodied snails soon, thats most likely A.Marginata, so maybe their the same as well?

When we were looking for tigers I actually rang Tom Halvorsen about getting some snails for us. He said he'd think about it, I guess he did.
I also think they come from the same African dealer, the names such as "pale bodied" and "pink lipped" give it away. They are the same as the list the guy had when I got the Bulimulus.
£20 for a tiger!!!!!
Blatant profiteering in my opinion. The price list I saw said $2.50 per snail. Now, I know they are heavy but if you're getting a big shipment then £20 is excessive.

I wonder why he has Achatina achatina and pink lipped ones as separate species. Makes me wonder what his true-type A.achatina really are.
