ok so i have a backyard and ive been caring for 5 helix aspersa's but i found 11 more and they are eating cuttlefish in my backyard, i dont have a cage!
how big should a cage be for 16 aspersa's!!!
or should i leash them by their shells (like a 5ft string), if so how?
i need this answered as fast as possible so its in general please!!!

For starters, forget the leash idea.
Calculation for 16 aspersas: Ideal tank area (length x depth): 800 cm² (0.08 m² or 0.86 feet²)
Suggested Tank Sizes for 16 snails: 67cm long x 15cm high x 15cm deep OR 47cm long x 15cm high x 17cm deep OR 28cm long x 15cm high x 28cn deep

That doesn't seem big enough. I have 8 helix aspersas in a tank that's about 30cm x 30cm x 40cm and I'm looking to buy or build one much larger as the tank I have doesn't allow for a lot of exploration.
A large storage bin would probably be a good size for your 16 aspersas.
If you choose to leave them outside, don't try to leash them. You could, however, put bird netting over where they live in the garden to protect them from being eaten by birds. Snails are homing animals. If there's enough of everything they need where they are I don't think they'd wander very far.
