::)Hi all ye snail lovers, I'm sure this question has probably been asked before but I've looked and cant find anything. One of my snails Milky Star has started to draw up into her shell she does come out at night to feed although I dont think she looks quite as perky , also she seems to have stopped growing and is nibbling her shell. They always have cuttlefish.I have just put some crushed egg shell in. All three of my snails are growing at different rates too? Any light to shed?

Hi Malti, They are Achatina Fulica albinos all born early this year. They are 3, 4, 5, cm shell length. Milky is the largest, she seems to have difficulty strengthening her shell , the others shells are much thicker (the other 2 are related) Keep them in a clear plastic box, they seem happier in this than the glass fish tank. They prefer cucumber, carrot, lettuce, apple. Turned there nose up at alot of other veg. About to try some hemp flour paste.

so from the little research I did. Milky could have something genetic, but can't be certain. Try giving them some sunshine time as this gives them Vit. D. which helps absorb calcium. Also try adding some liquid calcium with the water you moist them with. between 4-8 drops per liter of water. dunno what else to suggest, I'm pretty new myself
