Ive just took a few pics of my lil guys! ....
I have a question, my first 3 hatched a week and a half ago and my other tiny tiny survivor was born last wednesday but i havent had any of the other hatched at all, how long do i leave it until i know the rest of the eggs arent going to hatch? and ...... because i have 3 very strong and big babies..... i dont really want anymore, have they got a good chance of surviving ??
Hi Vicki , not sure if any more have hatched for you, but i dont think you will have a problem rehoming them anyway, so if more hatch as soon as they are big enough to post out just pop them in the classifieds. All the best Ade

Hey, i still have the 4 remaining unhatched eggs but its been 2 weeks now since the babies were first born so ive given up hope of them ever being more than an egg.
Good news on my babies tho ...... The 3 big ones are called Bungle, Zippy and George and the tiny one is called Rainbow! I cant tell the 3 big ones apart yet ( i say big but they are still so so tiny) but when they grow up hopefully they'll have slightly different markings so i'll be able to give them personal names then!
Hope everyones babies are doing well!!!!
I found a HUGE hole in the cucumber today ...... they seem to be eating loads for their size!!!!

Im trying to bring these baby snails up to not be fussy eaters like my other gang .... so far so good!
They've now tried... cucumber, lettuce, grapes, strawberries, apple and watermelon... all in 3 weeks of being alive!
The tiny tiny one (rainbow) still isnt growing though! she's 2 weeks and 4 days old and still just a little bit bigger than she was when she was just an egg! She's eating perfectly fine and very active, slimes all around the top of the nursery tank .... is there anything else i can be doing to help her grow?

Out of twelve eggs I had eight babies hatch. My OH has themn in his shed (its a constant 25'c in there, a couple of degrees warmer than my living room) so when I go to see him on Friday I will get him to take some piccies of the babies and post them on here

They are greedy little peckers - Mark (OH) can't beleive how much he has to feed them. Mine have a slight dandelion addiction at the moment....

Hey guys!!!!
My babies are almost a month old now and are doing great! but Rainbow still hasnt grown at all .... ive checked her size and she is 0.7cm in shell length where as the other 3 are 1.5cm.
Rainbow eats small amounts fairly often but is active and this morning found her munching on cucumber so she isnt starving herself. She likes cuttlefish, im just puzzled as to why shes so small yet fine??? and the other are literally double her size!
Hope your babies are all doing fine!
Sorry i havent been on for a while

Sometimes you just get a runt If they've access to food and calcium and are in the right environment, then you've done all you can to encourage them to grow. She might catch up later or she might just be small. If she's healthy then being small isn't a problem. I have an albino margie ovum who is over a year old now and still only about 3" - I wouldn't try and breed her but she's perhfectly healthy otherwise.

As long as you think she is fine then i dont mind her being small, i think shes really cute! I just dont want her to be a poorly one ..... i feel more attached to her, probably because she is small and was different from the start so was easily identified and named earlier than the other 3 who look the same! thanks for your advice xx
