A couple of mine have started to go a pinky tan colour, not sure if it will carry on through the shell growth but it is very pretty

Nice to see new photos of your babies!!! My 4 babies are growing well and ive recently moved them into a proper tank rather than a little reptile tub thingy. My babies are a beautiful shade of pink (thanks to all the strawberries and watermelon i think) and they are stripey and really really dotty!!!! There were 3 all one size and little tiny rainbow but now all 4 of them are a different size and they eat around 8 basil leaves and 2 slices of cucumcer between them a day!!!!!! Its very rare that i find food left in the tank apart from the skin of the cucumber!!! I love my babies, real characters! xxx

Hi, Anyone decided what these are yet? I've just bought some from Ebay described as A. stulhmanni and they are identical to these, with a bit of pink colour in their shells and even a touch of pink in their bodies. Would love to know what they really are, they are really lovely little snails!

Its possible these are Achatina Immaculata , i have eighteen of them and i am pretty sure ( not 100% ) that i can see a hint of pink/purple on the columella, however this being unsure we will have to wait and see. mine are two and a half months old and currently 5cm shell size.

When do u think they will get identified for sure? ....... i've looked on an info page on immacs and my babies never looked like immac babies. Has anyone elses babies got dark flesh? Whats the difference between immacs and stuhlmanni (look wise) ?

Does look similar, doesn't it? The only thing is that my babies have darker flesh than the one in that picture. Not sure if that will lighten as they grow or not? Still a bit of a snail newbie, so not sure of all these things. Do know that these little snails are about the cutest I've ever seen, though. I don't care what they are, they are adorable!!

Whats the difference between immacs and stuhlmanni (look wise) ? The columella in stuhlmanni is blue/white, in immaculata it should be clearly red, pink or purple. immaculata usually have very light body colour in captivity, but can also be darker. From the pictures Id say they look more like fulica at the moment.

I will try to add a clear columella shot soon Kevin however with just a hint of pink/purple its very difficult to currently capture it.
However Kevin is correct in that they do look like and could well be nothing more than A.Fulica, so its nothing but time that will help with ID.

Ive seen a lot of fulica babies in my time from tiny and i must admite if these are just plain fulica ill be very very suprised as they have markings like ive never seen before, mine has tiny dots and are a slight shade of pink in shell, really dark bodied and the shell is just amazing. Their bodies arent the colour of a typical fulica body. Im looking forward to getting them identified tho whatever they are

Ive seen fulica with shells and body colour exactly like the ones in the most recent pictures, if they had been posted with no information and wanting an ID im sure they would have been identified as fulica. They may turn out to be not fulica when they are larger though I guess, but at the moment thats what they look like to me.

they look just like rosalind did when she was about 3cm if that is any help, also they look just like a load of fulis I had a couple of years back. Personally i'd say fuli.
