OK it would seem i am being accused of sometime ago sellling some A.Marginata with worms etc, if I did ( which i doubt ) then i apologize and clearly would never do such a thing intentionally as i am sure i hope you all know.
Secondly - I dont mind being accused however, It really is sad that the people/person involved in this didnt contact me to ask for a refund ! I have now taken it on myself to refund one of the people i Know who had one of them - i cant remember the other persons ID , so if you are reading this and would like your 2.50 or whatever it was back thats no problem, all anyone had to do was ask.
I have sold more snails than some will ever sell in their lives and never received a complaint until now, even the admin here have received snails from me. To be honest i dont need the aggravation of people who wont communicate with me to let me know what they want / need, henceforth from here on in the majority of people can feel free to pay six or seven times the price for their snail/s on ebay - if this seems harsh then so be it i'll not wrangle words with any here. If you dont know me and you are not admin - DO NOT under any circumstances contact me for snails as i have no intention of selling any again - I AM a man of my word - regardless of what you offer i will not sell again as its not about money .
I hope this doesnt read the wrong way i am not angry or offended i just wonder why people didnt ask for their money back or a replacement snail etc .
Thank you for your time. Ade ( To all my friends you have my email )
I WILL be posting this on supersnails as well.

Ade its a shame you've chosen to take that action, you know I can trim out of the original posting anything accusatory if it would make things more comfortable? I don't think the intention of the original poster was to incriminate, but more a reaction of shock to the situation - I think we all feel the need to attach blame to a situation outside of our control when we do not have a suitable explanation for what has happened. It shouldn't happen, but its human nature to do so, and with the indirection provided by the internet - unfortunately guaranteed.
Take a bit of time to settle on it, see how you feel.
On a related note -
I think people forget that these are not domesticated animals - they are not mammals with a wealth of veterinary support available and any non typical behaviour is frequently diagnosed through guesswork. As a result mistakes can be made even by the most diligent amongst us.
If you've been in the hobby long enough you've all had your bad purchases, your misidents, your dodoasyour unexpected deaths and parasitic troubles. This unfortunately is a fact of trading online for inverts regardless of whether its snail, slug, spider or roach. If you're not happy about that risk then don't contemplate getting something sent via royal mail - visit the seller and buy in person. Distance purchases of inverts always carries a risk.
Unfortunately even with the closest eye and the best of intentions things go wrong, and it is hard not to bandy around blame to satisfy the disappointment of an unexpected problem on purchase. Symptoms of illness often manifest in a matter of hours let alone days in insects inverts and molluscs, which makes it difficult to guarantee problem free transactions.
If anyone has an issue in future please contact your seller before you decide to vocalise your opinions. You owe them the benefit of the doubt. If you're that upset with what you've received ask that the seller take it back. If the seller wont make any movement on the sale - chalk it down to experience and move on. You know not to trade again with that person.

I have sold more snails than some will ever sell in their lives and never received a complaint until now A good track record like this counts for something. I hope you will reconsider your decision to leave based on this one negative experience.

OK firstly there is more to this story.
The above post was as Ade understood things at the time of posting, but had only had half the story. The person who Ade sold the snail to hadn't made any complaint what-so-ever, and was happy with all of the snails received from Ade and fully intends keeping them. The snail in question was then sold on only because the snail (thought to be a margie at the time) was later identified as a Puylearti, and this keeper wanted to find it a home with another Puylearti, which she did. This new owner then rehomed it (for free) on the basis that the shell was not perfect and didn't think it would be wise to have it breeding with her other puys.
The person who ended up with this snail noticed worms, and no-one knows at which point the snail contracted the worms. However all of the previous owners cannot find worms in any of their snails, no-one actually thinks the worms came from Ade but Ade was informed so that he could check as a precaution.
I think there were some wires crossed in this, as no-one was accusing Ade of anything, and many of us know that Ade has always been a pillar of good snail husbandry and a thoroughly lovely chap who would never knowingly pass on an ill snail.
This has now been sorted out I think, with all concerned now knowing the bigger picture of what has happened. Ade wishes this person to keep the refund though as he doesn't want her to be short of a snail and still feels it's only right, but he recognises that she didn't make a complaint or accusation at all.
Ade has expressed and wishes people to know that he has been bothered by snails of his being ill-treated (even unintentionally) by new owners in the past, and finds it off-putting that one of his snails ended up with worms, even though he doesn't blame anyone in this case and isn't trying to say that anyone who had this snail was inexperienced. But anyhow, Ade has been bothered by issues similar to this a few times in the past, and has decided not to advertise on forums any more.
Furthermore - there are other things going on in his life right now, job-wise, projects, other commitments, and really does not have the time to devote to sorting things out on forums, or with selling. Plus he has received many requests from inexperienced keepers wanting snails, which he is not comfortable about. He does genuinely wish everyone well, and bares absolutely no grudge what-so-ever against anyone at all.
Everything is straightened out now as far as I can tell, this case was a misunderstanding, Ade wishes everyone well, and he hopes that no-one will worry about him as he is not upset at all and hopes that no-one is else is upset about what has happened.
