Discolouring of shell

For some reason I could not post on the growth forum.

Anyway, two of my snails, Mort and Misty have a yellow area to their shell (around the rim) I don't know whether this is their shell growing though? Or if it's a problem. They have cuttlefish for growth, 2 and lots of lettuce changed daily...so i'm a bit worried if it's an illness?

For the new growth to appear yellow is perfectly normal. It is also normal for this to be soft so it's best not to touch it. It will harden and darken as the snail grows, so it's nothing to be concerned about
