I bought 4 GALS last week and I am sure they are growing very fast, noticed this soft shell forming, I am sure this means they are growing. I also bought some Albino GALS but they are tiny, so cute, have kept them separate as tank is big and fear older one may harm them, wonder if I have done the right thing? Any suggestions guys?

Do you mean soft at the edge where it grows? If so that is normal

Yes thats where it is, noticed a difference in size, even though I have had them for a week, love feeding them. Attachments:

My babies have got loads of new shell growth, however i noticed a small area where the very early new growth on one has a slight rip in it as if hed banged it or caught it on something, I take it this new shell growth repairs and regenerates quickly?
