I have owned Squidney my GAL for 2 years and this year it put on a remarkable growth spurt and grew 8cm of new shell since June! I got it as a mature adult. It has eaten 2 large cuttle fish since June and is chomping away on a new one at this moment.
It did have a very long aestivation period as the house was quite cold due to building work last year. It now has a heat pad.
Is this type of growth usual - if so how big will it get - its shell is about 7 inches long.
