OK so it contains Sodium Benzoate...used as a perservative. This is a natural salt found in fruits like apples and whatnot from what I read. Can this be fed to snails or will the Sodium Benzoate hurt them? It is a salt so I am thinking yes, but an entimologist friend said that it is in such small amounts that he doubted it.
Opinions?
BTW, I have Helix Aspersas.

Some preservatives hurt mammals (including humans), but little is known about their effects on mollusks. Personally, I err on the side of caution with all my pets.

I'd go with cuttle, just to be safe. It's only about a dollar and if you're worried they won't eat it then you can scrape some off into their food. I have aspersas as well and I've had no problems with them eating it.
