I don't see why not, if you are interested in insects as pets I know that antlions ( exoticpets.about.com/cs/insectsspiders/p/antlions.htm) are commonly kept, they are very interesting to watch digging their holes and catching prey, and they can live for something like 2 years before developing into adults, also they only need to be kept in a container full of dry sand or salt.

Thanks, i think that ant lions/doodle bugs are quite odd looking when they are nymphs or young, do you know how long they are young for before adult?

Ant lions seem easy to care for! Here in U.K (England) its quite cold and i was wondering about thorn bugs again where i can find them, im not sure if they sell them in my local pet store but i will ask next time lol i have £10.00! My parents are used to me getting new pets every month (only small like snails bugs and insects) which really bugs me because i sometimes get bored but i usually talk myself into sticking to them! So i will convince myself i can look after them! (though im researching thorn bugs before i ask my parents then i can tell them all the facts!)
