Is it okay too feed Rumina decollata eggs from A. immaculata that has been in the freezer? I've only fed them fresh eggs before, never frozen. Thank you.

ya it's 'ok' to feed them them if they eat them, it isn't a problem. the key part of that is if they eat them.

R. decollata is a predatory snail so they eat other snails and eggs. I use to crush the eggs before I give it to them, and they eat it without hesitation. But I didn't know if the eggs were ok as food after being frozen.

Yes, frozen/defrosted eggs will be fine for them i`m sure but they will `go off` much quicker then fresh eggs so remove any uneaten eggs often. If your R Decollata are anything like ours, the eggs won`t last long anyway. Regards Paul www.bugz2go.com

really? they are? <GASP and shocked surprise>....seriously? ya...I know....... my answer is still the same. freezing them breaks the cellular structure of the egg, so as I stated...."ya it's 'ok' to feed them them if they eat them, it isn't a problem. the key part of that is if they eat them." ....as with other foods, sometimes they get accustomed to eating one thing or another....so....the key part of that is if they eat them...... :-)

There's no need to be sarcastic. I'll see if they eat the eggs or not, but they probably will, eating seem to be their hobby. They are small but eat a lot. ^^
