I keep my Tiger Chunk & his girlfriend Margene, a Margie in my bathroom coz it's nice & warm & since I got Margene & changed his house his behaviours changed. Instead of hiding for days, he now is up & about every day, eating, sliming round his tank & he adores Margene, always sat together, eating side by side & even sleeping next to each other I've just found Chunk sprawled on his cuttle bone, obviously munching BUT his eyes are retracted. Am I being an over anxious mum or is it the equivalent of falling asleep in your breakfast. I adore all my Snails, such little characters But I have a special love for Chunk, coz he is is so magnificent & he's still only a baby of 7months. It could be Margene threatened him with a frying pan for eatin all the sweet potato ;D Any advice would be great, even if it's, I'm fussing too much.

I've had some of my snails (none tigers, though) doze off on the cuttle. I think it's probably a normal thing to do. So glad your two like each other so much.

Good news Chunk is back to his old self & as we speak, wrestling with a mushroom. His ladyfriend Margene is sprawled on the cuttlebone tonite Rescued an ancient, dirty, damaged Fulica today. I've named her Wilma & she was in plastic box of 10x6 & there were 10 adult Fulica's, with no food or cuttlebone Wilma's had a warm bath & a scrub with a soft toothbrush, lots of lovely food & fishflakes. She's gone sleep now all worn out after her Big day

Shocking that so many were crammed into such a small space and no decent food. Lucky Wilma though to be given the chance of a good life. I suspect she'll be doted upon! Glad that Chunk is back to his normal self. Sometimes snails just go through phases of wanting to rest a while, and others have found that Tiger snails can go through lazy periods.

Wilma has slimed round her new home nonstop today. The fact she can stretch her foot & not bump into another Snail must be strange. Her new home is a very large plastic tub 3x2 ft & 2.5 ft ht, so there's plenty of room. There is 2 plantpots disguised with moss for hiding, sleeping & chillin. There's always a good variety of food & 2 cuttlebones. I have noticed Wilma has a big piece of shell missing, it's very uneven & sharp. Before her bath she was black in shell colour & now after some pampering she's got a lovely marble pattern.
