So Adorable! ;D I watched a baby once get a ride down, on an adults back to the food dish, he slide off the adults back once there had a little munch and slide back on the adults shell and got a ride back up the side of the tank after the adult finished eating. vallery

Hehee, yeah, they don't mind one bit where they are if they're in the mood for a snack! On a sadder note, my beautiful Garfield is getting old. I've noticed him changing for some time now but now he feels very granny-like. I just hope he will be like my last arion, whom I named Ruby. He's not eating very well and he should eat the fish food to stay strong in his last weeks, hopefully months. Here's Garfield. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

And here's Ruby. He's a fat slug, that's very good at old age. A sign of health I believe, as he eats well. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

That is one fat granny slug! Really, you should sew him a little muu muu to wear. Hopefully, Garfield lives as long. L. maximus are such lovely slugs. I hope to find some of my own in the coming spring and summer.

Haha! Slugwear. That would actually make a good brand name. With a slug wearing a muu muu as logo.
The fish flake diet seems really good for an aged slug. A few months ago when Ruby's mates died I put him in the smallest PetPal I have, anticipating that he would not live long. He wasn't eating a lot then and was skinny and had some wound-like scratches on his tail, and he was generally looking very old and frail. But I persistently fed him fish flakes every night and he began cleaning his "plate", and gaining weight again. He got back the plumpness of a slug in his prime and the scratches even healed somewhat. His, and Garfield's face look like an elderly human without dentals, lol. That's always how I know I have a granny slug here.

Little albino fuli whose shell is a bit funky tasting a cuttlebone fresh out of sepia. I'm unsure if I should dry it, and how salty it is but guineasnaily here does not seem to mind at all. She's inspecting it, it is quite smelly cuttlebone even though I washed it! Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

Look what I found! Leatherleaf eggs. Apparently despite me forgetting to spray the tank daily the slugs think it is monsoon season. Those eggs are huge, too. Oval shaped 10cm long, 5mm wide. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

And also found a suspiciously fat flat slug. She's twice as thick as usual in the belly section. I think there will be more eggs! Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

That's an odd-looking slug! If you find out what species she is, let us know! And nice eggs, too!

Oh that's Laevicaulis alte! But she should be kind of flat... and now she has this bulge in her belly. She looks veeeeery weird compared to the normal state and this is new so I suspect moar bhabies coming soon. These leatherleaves are at least twice as big as the other seen in the pancake topic so the stripe along their backs isn't as visible unless they are contracted. It seems to fade somewhat as the skin stretches. They have also acquired those patches of lighter skin while growing bigger, the smaller individuals seem to have less of them.

Moving to post these pics to this topic now that it's clear how many hatched. Little sluglets lined up to feed on fish food. I didn't arrange them like this, they did! Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

Here's another pic of the eggs. It's an egg chain that has been wrapped into a tight ball, like a ball of ribbon. Curious method of laying eggs. I placed them in a separate box to try to prevent gnat maggots from invading these eggs. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

Alfie's little ones didn't fancy lettuce, only browsed cucumber, and accepted fish flakes, but it wasn't until today that they showed whay their true love is. Mushrooms. So far all three types offered have been more than just tasted. Even the picky smallest of the bunch that I didn't know if he was eating or not was happily munching shrooms. These guys are fungivores indeed. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards Attachments:

I'm pampering them silly. They are so precious, I want all 7 to make it to adults so that I get more babies. I had hoped I could offer a few for exchange but not yet out of this batch. Need more survivors.
