as some of you may know i currently keep two Albino Achatina Reticulata. they have both recently layed eggs... one was almost two months ago.. i have read, and also been informed here on the forum that is it not uncommon for this species to die soon after breeding. so far, both of my snails are looking fit and healthy. does this mean they have survived, or does it occur that they die months later? if they have survived, is it likely they will breed again, or not? thanks, fran

Hi, if their still apearing healthy then in all likelyhood they are If the egg laying was going to kill them then you would see it right away when they dont regain the weight lost from laying

Thank You Axoloa - yes both seem perfectly happy and healthy. i have been feeding them lots of sweet potato which they are loving... i guess i am particularly lucky that they have both layed and both survived...
