Ever since I first saw albino Achatina Achatina I knew I had to have some! But because my normal tigers were inactive I was against getting albinos while my set-up was obviously wrong. But ever since I increased the heat and gave them a lot more moss for better humidity, my tigers have been absolutely thriving! ;D So now I know what they like... I did it! I bought myself 2 albino tigers and 2 sliver bodied suturalis margies!! ;D I am soooo happy and excited, and I really cannot wait for them to arrive!!! ;D But I was just wondering about what to do in terms of when they get here, as I've never had snails from another country before, so I'm unsure if theres anything I should do when they arrive, like should I give them a quick shower to revive them after their trip? Give them some really good food? Or should I just put them in their tanks and leave them too it when they arrive? Any advice would be appriciated as I just to make sure I do the best thing for them! Thanks!

Congrats on the imminent arrival I've never had any from abroad before but the ones I've had shipped in the UK were quite cold when they arrived so I gave them a quick bath to warm them up, then put them to bed with some nice food.

Thank you. When my snails arrive I usually give them a quick visual check to make sure all is ok, mist with warm water, then place them into their nice warm humid tank on moss where I can see them to check that they move. If any of them are clinging to the sides of the container I mist them and put the container into the tank until they move off. I shade the tank or close the curtains for a while, and check at intervals, sometimes they haved moved to the food, or into the moss. Once I have seen them move and am satisfied they are ok I email the sender to inform of their safe arrival. It is so exciting when they arrive!

I think you should throw a welcome/housewarming party for them. Serve beer and cake (pureed seeds, sweet potato and carrot formed into a cake, layered and decorated preferably).
