oooooo. I think that you might need to do a tad bit of research. Cos with achatina/archachatinas we take the eggs out, cos they are not really sensetive.

As far as I know these snails has never been bred in captivity and/or documented before, and if they have been, details on how to do so havent been posted online They are kept very humid with coco humous and moss, the eggs are under the moss on top of the humous

We don't all take the eggs out Sophie, Arno never does and he's hatched Tigers and Margies successfully. Its just down to personal choice. I, personally, would be inclined to leave them where they are.

I was thinking that, but I thought as I have yet to hatch snails it was best to ask The eggs are under some moss, I was going to clean the entire container out and use new moss and humous, lucky I picked out the moss first...I was going to put my Barbados snails Im having this week in with my first Barbados snails, but now theres eggs in there I wont put any more snails in with them... So Ill leave the eggs in there, hopefully they'll hatch

Whats coco humous? Is it as nice as sphagnum? Where do you buy it? Hope your eggs hatch, I'd leave well alone if it were me (I'd do this with any species) Nat

Don't wanna sounds rude but if the eggs hatch are you gonna be selling any? ;D I dont know yet, depends on how many hatch, if most of them hatch then maybe? I definitly will keep a bunch of them back though if they hatch, and try to rear more of them as I really like these snails I dont know if they have ever been cb in UK, or even Europe before, they probably have, I dont know how to find out though..If I have surplus ones and decide to sell them then the money made will all go to my snails in some capacity

I took my recent eggs (which could possibly be my small Barbados snails) because as we have no idea what the incubation time is, I figured the tank could end up messy. I'd suggest scooping out the eggs and the earth/moss around them. That way, you can keep the tank nice and clean and fresh. Plus, it'll be easier for you to monitor the progress of the eggs. Then if they don't hatch you can leave them in the tank for the next batch.
My dimdiata eggs were left in, because I was dying for them to hatch and because I had no idea on viability or best conditions I figured mum knew best. And they all hatched. But I only had to wait 9 days so cleaning the tank wasn't a problem.

Thanks Paul for your suggestion...Im still unsure though, I may have a go at scooping them out later, but the substrate and moss isnt that deep (only about 5cm) and I wouldnt want to damage the eggs

I have removed the eggs and keeping them in a seperate container, most of the eggs were clumped together so I kept them like that...I will post a pic of the eggs in this thread

Took a quick picture of the eggs, I scooped them out as they were, and put them in a small container and covered them with the moss, they are all clumped together and theres about 20 or so altogether, though only around 12 or so are visable in this pic

Hi, how big were the eggs and how many hatched each egg is about 3-5mm, a high percentage (maybe even all of them?) of the eggs hatched.
