I was wondering if anyone knows the legalities of sending snails from the UK to Canada. I have been looking for cepaeas without bands in Canada but no response the only response I have received is from UK. I don't know any rules of legalities. I would really appreciate your help even help finding out how to find unbanded cepaeas in Canada if they can't come from UK. Thank You vallery  |

The best thing to do would probably be to contact the Canadian Food Inspection Agency directly. They deal with food, plants, animals etc. and I believe they are the people who decide what is and isn't allowed and whether you need permits. This is their website: www.inspection.gc.caIt's possible that you may need a plant protection permit but honestly I'm not sure - if you give the Inspection Agency a call or email, they should be able to give you a more definitive answer than any of us |
